Orbital Habitat Safety Policy
1. Purpose
To minimize injury, equipment damage, and environmental contamination during handling of unsecured materials in zero-gravity conditions.
2. Key Guidelines
- Always tether tools and equipment to fixed mounts.
- Use soft restraint bags for fragile items.
- Maintain three-point contact when using powered devices.
- Verify all cargo restraints before transitions between gravity zones.
- Never open containment units outside designated cargo bays.
3. Equipment Certification
All tools used in zero-G environments must be certified and inspected every six months by Orbital Maintenance Engineering.
4. Incident Reporting
Any release of equipment, collision, or containment breach must be logged immediately via the Zero-G Incident Form within the Orbital Safety System.
