Docking and Airlock Process

1. Purpose

To provide a standardized response framework for all critical emergencies that may occur aboard orbital habitats.

2. Procedure Overview

  1. Alert and Assessment – Activate local alarms and notify Command Control.
  2. Isolation – Seal affected compartments using airlock controls.
  3. Evacuation – Follow designated evacuation routes to primary safe zones.
  4. Containment – Activate fire suppression or atmospheric scrubbers if necessary.
  5. Medical Response – Deploy onboard med-tech personnel and prepare for triage.
  6. Incident Reporting – Submit full incident report within 24 hours via the Orbital Safety Portal.

3. Responsibilities

Role Action
Command Center Coordinates containment, evacuation, and emergency communications.
Safety Officer Confirms isolation integrity and records system data.
Crew Members Follow command instructions and assist others as directed.

4. Training

All personnel must complete the Orbital Emergency Simulation Program annually and demonstrate familiarity with emergency zones.
